The aim of the church in this parish is to be a centre for
Christian Worship, Witness, Teaching and Pastoral Care for Everyone

In seeking to fulfill this mission a wide variety of activities are centred upon St. John's Church.
Regular and varied, forms of Sunday Worship
Periodic study sessions
Infant Baptism
Sunday Club leading young people in the steps of Jesus
Rupert Bear Club for pre-school children and their parents
Training for Confirmation
Preparation for and solemnization of marriages
Funerals & Interments

The clergy are ready to give spiritual support
whilst within the church community we have a number of trained counsellors with various specialisations including
bereavement, relationship and stress counselling.
Other lay people are ready to lend a listening ear.

Here at St. John's Church we seek to serve our community
and welcome others interested in similar service to join with us.

Roundabout is a newsful and entertaining Parishes magazine published each month.
It covers, Sharow, Nunwick, Hutton Conyers, Copt Hewick, Bridge Hewick, Marton-le-Moor and Littlethorpe.

United Service in Copt Hewick alternating between
10 am Holy Innocents, Copt Hewick
10.30 am Copt Hewick Chapel

5th Sunday of the month (i.e. quarterly)

Mondays

1.30 - 3pm Edward Bear Baby & Toddler Group
In Sharow Primary School Hall, Berrygate Lane

For pre-school youngsters along with their parents,
grandparents or other guardians.
Call by for a drink and a chat while the children play

Thursdays

7 pm Choir Practice

A small but enthusiastic choir welcomes new members
